I qualified for finals on 12V, but did not bring the van. 159.9 with 9 Onyx 10's.

Jason Paulus also ran 16v on his mmats amps in SS1-2. He only ran 4 amps though.

We used 8 yellow tops -12 volt- and a 14 volt Batcap. Our voltage was at a max of 15.7 ( a tad high we think) ss 1-2, 8th place.

ok so this gives me another question can you use a 14v batcap and a 12v batcap together?
Reason im asking is I already have a 12v model and im going to buy another but if i can run a 14v with the 12v i have now would that be better than just another 12v?

Well , you're gonna run it a little hot, but we did stay within the maximum running ranges of the equipment. The 12 volt Batcap will max charge within the running range of the 14 volt Batcap. So, yea- you can use them both, especially for limited usage. The manufacturer knows the damage range of their product, that's why we run within that range. I am using the 14 volt Batcap on a stock alt for mini 1 sub only because the minimum charge voltage is available for the Batcap. I would prefer a higher voltage, but don't have the alt for it. It works though.

I had 16 Volt pretty much all season, but I only have 6 8 Volts with out an alternator, so I might as well have 12 volts, lol.
