Just my opinoin but i think the rule about having to have you back seat in su<ks...i have a daily drive and i have taken out the back seat so now i have to move into SS....
the bottom of the seat is still in...just not the back...i still ride people around back there...

i wouldnt mind having to move up except i dont ahve the money to buy another amp...battery ect that you need to run in the SS class...

Im not b*thching or complaining but some people that have daily drivers do not have a back seat....

I agree with you, but you have to remember Street = Stock and the cars did not come stock without the rear of the seat

Now here's an area I both agree, and disagree with, since some sedans have rear seats which fold, and some that are nearly identical in every other way, except the seats do not fold, I can see the "no-mod." rule stay, except it seems in the interest of fairness and the spirit of DB Drag that an allowance of a 'limited modification' should be added, maybe something that says 'as long as you can make your seats approximate folding seats' might want to be added?
A hinge or something which allows the seat to still be used normally, but folded down for a burp...?
just a thought -

I agree. I put my seat on hinges last year and wayne said absolutely not. Then the judge told me I should get a different car so I did for this year I agree the seat should be able to be folded but not removed, just like USAC.

i think it sucks too. i took the middle seats out of my van the day i got it-- 8 years ago.. and never looked back. no stereo or anything. in my opinion that is stock.

i think that if the manufacturer built the seats to be removable, than the seats removed should be considered stock. i also think that any other seats in the vehcile can be located anywhere on their tracks and in any folded position. it would take 10 seconds to do that on a dealers lot of brand new vehicles-- that is not what i would call a "modification."

i don't really care. if i was going to play to win i'd have picked a certain car to start with-- i just play for fun

I would suggest putting your rear seat back in if it bothers you so much. The rule has been like this for 2 full seasons now. I had a problem last year when I was told I couldn't pull out my rear seat bottom (which simply pops out on a Neon) but with the restructuring of the seat rule it's a somewhat level playing field again.
