NATHAN THIS IS NOTHING NEGATIVE TOWARDS YOU OR YOUR CAR..BECAUSE IT WAS DEFINATELY ONE OF THE MOST IMPRESSIVE.. HERE IS MY QUESTION I'M BUILDING AN EXTREME CAR AND ON THE STRING TEST DOES JUST THE WOOFER ENCLOSURE HAVE TO BE BEHIND THE STRING.. ALSO THE CONSOLE CAN'T TOUCH THE BOX UNLESS I CALL IT MY PORT. BUT IF I CALL IT MY PORT ISNT IT TO CLOSE TO THE MIC..AND CAN MY SEATS RUN INTO MY BOX OR DOES THE STRING HAVE TO GO ALL THE WAY DOWN THE DOOR JAM????

You do not put seats in a extreme car.

I dont quite know about the title of this post, but maybe I can still answer some questions.

Last January, Wayne made the ruling that you console CAN attach to your enclosure, as long as it is easily proven that it is not part of the enclosures airspace. With this ruling, consoles are not subject to the string test, as long as it easily determined that the face of the box and the subs are within limits.

As far as the console being to close to the mic, in all properly done extreme vehicles EVERY surface in the cab works to influence your score, so the console is no different than the dash, etc. Its just part of the interior. If it was determined that no part of the cabin within 1 jig length of the mic could affect SPL, then extreme vehicles would only be able to run outlaw.

Thanks Nathan, I'm sorry about calling you out but your car was the only one that I saw that did it sucessfully..Would like to see you go back to 1 woofer though it was beyond cool. Didnt matter to the rest of the world that you didnt get 1ST but I know you wanted to win and 2 woofers ws the only choice.. Good luck this year..Thanks again..

Poor Nate, try to make that thing legal by having an alternator and following all rules - making last minute changes ...We now know that bronco alternator does work! LOL -You do need to compete this season...... places to go, things to do, and much to prove!

PS: Thanks for visiting with us at the Kicker party at CES. If you go to Padre, maybe I'll have to buy you dinner (We can let Mike pay though, LOL)

Deal Dinner on Padre!- word came down today that I will be at both South Padre and Daytona. And no, I am not competing this season.

We are going to do that promote sponsors, products, and industry thing. Something I have always wanted to do and finally will get a chance to give it a try this season.

Once plans are finalized, an announcement will be made as to the plans.

Should be fun.
