First off, apologies on anything that was stated that may have offended you guys. I realized from your resposes, though, that you thought that was directing may statements towards you. NO. TALONTSI, The 20k thing was in general. I saw a truck built by a shop for someone who had money to burn, paid whatever it took, and got beat by a little geo doing 138. Pitiful. As to the "crappy car" thing, no offense, DragQueen. I saw a competitor who had bought a car 2 nights before for 50 bucks, it wasn't licensed, and it barely ran. They threw a system in and hit 150 something, taking first. From what I heard, they pulled the stuff out of the car after the show, and left it sit. That is annoying. There are very cool looking wooden cars, BUT, usually, they aren't very representable. If you do that, at least take the time to make the car look cool. You know. Thay are always good fun to watch. AND, I wasn't just complaining, I was stating a point. TALONTSI, if you are going to trash talk on someone, though, please be able to take it in return. ALSO, I noticed that your responses reflected that you didn't pay close attention to what I what trying to say, but rather what you took it as. As much as I don't know about you, you don't about me. It is my choice to say what I have to say here, in public. I don't have to open my personal E-mail to get trash talked, either. From what I knew and other people knew, one event was allowed. I DON'T KNOW RETAILER RULES, but that was what I was told by three places. THEN, I saw what I saw in the event calendar. I wanted to know what was going on, and if WAYNE knew. Then you all trashed me. I DON'T HAVE the time, money or resources to be a huge competitior, but I thought I had better than most. Unfortunately, it ain't finals worthy. I KNOW THIS. BUT, it would be nice to get invited, I just have enough shows to go to to get the points. EVEN if I had a constantly first placing system. OH WELL, I guess. As for the systems, we all can talk alot, but personally, I have never seen a 2 woofer system break 150 legally on an acurate meter. When you say that you have 2 10's that will break 160, that I don't believe, but won't say can be done. I have heard 160's, but no matter how good a box you design, I thing that is beyond that capability of the woofer itself, LEGALLY. OK. Nothing personal. When I see it, I'll believe it. Again, apologies on any harsh words or misunderstandings to all. OK?

LOL getting my post on here first before it fills up and gets closed : ) I dont remember what your system is at the time if you did list it but my next setup will be 4 Punch XLC 15's powered by a Kicker 2252xi. Now the way I look at it is "Well I dont have all the money in the world but what the hell Im going to try and go to finals and beat everyone there" now thats a long shot but at least I can say I tried. Thats better than says ah I cant do it so im not going to try. And whats this about
"If you do that, at least take the time to make the car look cool. "
Im hoping I misunderstood that statment because next year if I get invited to finals Im going to pull up in a 90 cavalier, stock rims, with a little 4 cylinder. But It will be loud!

2 10's can do a 154 dude.
1 12 can do a 151.4

In our city we have many 1-2 woofers cars breaking a 150. I guess you did not read my last post.

I would not be sirprised at all to see 2 10's break a 160 at finals!! Just wait

I have heard many rumors about very loud 2 10 and 2 12 cars as well. And I would not be surprised to see 160 either. The 2 sub class in my opinion is the most technical class there is. I saw somone on the forum say that no matter how good you build the box they doubted 160 could be hit with 2 subs. Box design plays a very large role. You have to admit something like a horn enclosure is a lot more efficient than a typical box sealed or ported. The cars as a whole are getting more and more effiecent. I don't doubt anything, look how far we as a sport have come. Just for fun look through a back issue of any car audio magazine. Our scores are jumping big time....

Hell, I remember in the 93 IASCA finals, Mark Fakuta (spelling?) Did a 157.9 using the song flashdance. He burped it and the crowd went nuts. He also put the mic in the dash, I don't know where though. And now here it is almost 6 years later and guys are posting (legally) high 160's and consistent mid 160's. I remember when people used to say that 160 was absolutely unatainable. That is the American and really human way to find a way to exceed the expectations put forth by the general public. I think everyone in the Car Audio industry deserves a pat on the back for turning this into a real sport............

You have to realize that great equipment will only get you so far..Why do you think that these guys are doing over 150-160 with what they've got? They use knowledge, hard work and experimentation to maximize what they've got. I am one of the believers that it's all in the install...JMHO
