I was wondering if anybody could tell me if the dB drag rules allow equipment other than the podium to be outside of the vehicle while it is competing. Saw a vehicle today that had all of the batteries and amps on the top of the car.....never seen anything like it before and wondering if there were any rules about the placement of this equipment. Thanks!

As I understand the rules there is to be no outside power source for the vehicle. So technically the batteries were outside power sources. Wayne can answer better though.

Yea the box in the yugo right now is tuned way wrong and its short about 10-15 cubic ft. So we are going to get to work on it asap the car just got finished about 3 weeks ago and we have dont have a accurate meter to see what happens when we make changes which sucks cause the car is impressive to look at but we dont know what to numbers to expect till we run through the lines ..well wish us luck as we brainstorm to make it louder alright

Yes, it was the under construction Yugo. It looked better yesterday than the last time that I saw it. Our car is also small like the Yugo, that's why I was wondering if it was legal...not trying to accuse anybody of cheating ! MEGAJAM was right, it was doing about 153's yesterday.

Right now, we have a 91 Plymouth Colt with 8 Image Dynamics 12's and Memphis 1000D amps. The box design we have been competing with has been scrapped and a new one is in the process of being built.

The box can't make it's final appearance until it is finished, and it is a long way from that! The SPL Cat....destination unknown for the time being. Probably down in the garage somewhere. I haven't been down there since Sunday. I'm sure somebody around here knows where it is!

I remember seeing the cat, someone put it on top of the Tracker soft top and when I burped it, the cat just about flew off the top. By the way, where did the "SPL Cat" come from?!?!?!?!

Tech made the cat and it is really cool at that! The cat is siting on top of my car in the garage right now soon to be moved up stairs to hang from light in kitchen. It will be back at future shows!!!

Arile it was nice to see the system in person and nice to see someone else that runs the XLC's I wish that I had time to look at the set up closer. I had the Blue S-10 with the 16 12's and the 4 800a2's. One thing tht I saw that I had a ? one was are the door panels steel under the stock panels. I saw that it had the steel in places but was wonderind if it was the entire panel.

Yeah, I took two pieces of 1/4 trupan and cut them out to fit. I made a template jig and used a router to copy them. I then just took the aluminum flashing and glued it to the base piece and then cut the top trim piece to let the metal show through. Something different, but it also is a reflective surface to try and increase spl, but with a ragtop, there is only so much you can do!!! I believe my buddy will be able to attend some shows, now. His boy has been seriously sick and he has asked me to take it to some shows. I said sure, but I didn't want anyone to get mad because it is his vehicle and it seems like I am always competing for hiim. See you guys and gals at Moberly Missouri on the 28th of August and at Jefferson City on the 29th of August for those big events!!!
