The car that did 158.X at eurofinals did constant runs in the 156 range. The 158.X was in many peoples opinion the result of a misreading of some kind.
The car is indeed very loud and had a very interesting boxdesign...

Was that the car with the bandpass box? Or am I thinking of something else?

http://www.dbdrag-eurofinals.com/ It should be 158.4 dB. Scan through the pictures until you find a pic with what looks like a 4th order bandpass with a big port.

Actually itīs a SHE.... Donīt know if she is involved in the design and install or so but itīs a female competitor that burps the system alright.

Maybe its just me, or I cant see the whole box, but it looks like the front (sealed) chamber has VERY little airspace.... In which case that box might be acting more as a compression horn in this case. Just a guess? Anyone have any comments?

As I understand it, it's her boyfriend that has built the box. It's indeed a very interesting design.

Well, I know for a fact that most of those competitors were holding back in the brackets and waiting to max their system until needed when the competition was tougher. And after all these were Street competitors with limited number of batteries and they donīt want to drain the batterie(s) when not needed.
But the 158.4 is in my mind not a correct score though, the others look right to me. The mics where calibrated often throughout this competition.

I wrote batterie(s) in regard to the earlier post where someone commented on the results increasing, where some of the competitors mentioned were Street 3-4 competitors. We are not total idiots over here in Europe you know We go strictly by the rules of course.
And of course people know their frequency and only plays one burp, but these guys are sneaky and donīt want to show their full potential until absolutely necessary. And since there were very little time between runs there werenīt too much time to recharge your batterie(s) but the primary reason of course is strategic...

ok your response seems logical but explain the purpose of their strategy?
