Can everyone help. I'm doing a research project for Soiology and would like it if everyone would answer some questions for me.
1. How old are you?
2. Male or Female?
3. Why did you start competeing?
4. Did you install your system yourself?
5. What do you gain from competeing?
6. How long have you been competeing?
7. Why did you choose DB Drag Racing?
8. How much did your system cost(estimate)?
Thanks to everyone that answers these questions.

1. How old are you? 22
2. Male or Female? M
3. Why did you start competeing? My friend started doing it and it sounded like fun, so I joined.
4. Did you install your system yourself? Yes
5. What do you gain from competeing? Well, since I do my own installation, I gain confidence in my work and when I do good at a competition, I can say I did that all by myself (sometimes help from a friend).
6. How long have you been competeing? This year is my second year of competing consistantly. I have competed here and there but not like I do now.
7. Why did you choose DB Drag Racing? Personally, Iasca and all the others are boring to me. No offense to anyone, but it's just not my thing to do.
8. How much did your system cost(estimate)? All of the equipment I have in my vehicle now costed me $2,300. Approx.
Thanks to everyone that answers these questions.

1. How old are you? 17
2. Male or Female? Male
3. Why did you start competeing? Because i had nothing better to do, and my buddy bet me $20 that he was louder! (Needless to say, i gained $20 that day! LOL)
4. Did you install your system yourself? After i figured what i was doing, yes
5. What do you gain from competeing? Friends, having fun whenever, and gives me something to do in the garage
6. How long have you been competeing? Entering my second season
7. Why did you choose DB Drag Racing? It only cost $20 for a car toy's membership and as many comps as i wanted to go to...so why not?
8. How much did your system cost(estimate)? Under $1,100 for the last one (everything from the wiring, box materials speakers subs amp etc.) and the new system about $900-1,200 with LOTS more in it now
Thanks to everyone that answers these questions. NO PROBLEM

1) 26
2) Male
3) To see how loud my system was compared to others..
4) First-no. Now I am a pro installer and do all my own work.
5) Pushing myself to learn more in my classes in school about physics, math and electronics as well as working on cars and different tools and uses. Also gained a lot of good friends.
6) I competed for about 3 years myself from about 1994-1997. I have only helped friends since then but will compete again starting in 2002.
7) I started with USAC a lot and have yet to compete myself in db Drag but will start in MECA and probably db Drag in the spring of 2002. (db drag is more expensive and I have to work my way up in $$$$ first).
8) First system- $4,000.00. Current system when I get done- Less than $1,000.00.
8)
