I dunno...it may be...but are those ID MAX's or are they a different model? because they loo to me like maxes and if they are then it must be very recent

He competed like that for almost all of 2000 and then switched to S1-2 for finals. I think that is the reason that you have to have so many points in a certain class now to get an invite to finals. Scary thing is I think he's louder now than he was then (if not close).

heheheh, yeah, kinda sad, but he had that and 10, yes 10 memphis 1000D's hitting low 150's
it was a cool wall, but I was about 1 or 2 dB away from him with one amp and 4 subz
10? how did he get 10 amps on 6 subs, didnt he have 12? and then switched to 6-x fire 1000ds?

Well Matts biggest number with that old install was a 156.6 on Jason Allens Ego Boosting Meter at the 2x show in Lemars Iowa last season. I gotta give them credit for trying every box configuration imaginable and finally decided it wasn't meant for ss 5-8 and figured he would just go out and win finals instead. Myself and Kyle had some fun with nearly that exact same picture last season.
It was just a tiny little bit quiter with 2 6.0's & 2 12's and one battery as it was with 12-1000'ds, 6-12's and 5(?) batteries.
It was louder w/ the 4kw and 2 maxes, without a doubt.
Go Figure.
It was kinda cool to look at though. A lot of stuff packed into that car.
And yes, those were the more or less orginal versions of the idq-spl.

I don't know about some of you but I've been wondering, if Matt would have been able to run without the whole seat issue, how loud would his car have been this years finals? I know someone one knows, why not share.

ok, i might as well answer to a post about me. yes, that is my car from the 2000 season. I competed with all that in my car as a daily driver and drove it EVERYWHERE.. listened to it like that all the time too. That system just wasnt working well in the car, it sounded loud just didnt measure very loud. I was doing right around a 155 to a 156 on a legit mic. As far as what i was doing this year at finals, a handful of people know what i was capable of doing and well.. it wouldnt have been 2 vans in the final 2 at finals.

Well matt enlighten us, how loud were you..... I mean if 7 other people were mot at finals in my class I would have won too......Oh and I hope to see you in a non newbie class next year cause I think your in your 3rd or 4th year now, don't you think its time to come paly with the big boys???? Actualy I was hoping that the rummor was true that you bought a van and you were going is ss-3-4....I think I would finally get to prove my point ... ...
