Ya i agree with Ian, i like how the SS classes are right now. I don't really think we need that much change in these classes. The dBDRA needs to straighten out the Street classes if anything.

i agree the classes are pretty good just some of the rules need to be looked at like a cut-through not being allowed in street class but u can take up the entire trunk or hatch of your car and thats still street ! i havent change anything but an extra hole in my truck ...just venting i guess

well...cut throughs aren't allowed because you aren't allowed to modify the interior of your vehicle...and cutting a big hole in it is modifying it...if it wasn't I would cut a big hole in the floor of my van and have the box an inch away from the ground...I could raise the van and put monster wheels on it and I could get a 100cubic foot enclosure for two 12's...but it isn't legal...for the same reason cutthroughs aren't legal

that is how the classes work.. a truck can haul more items than a trunk in a car.. it is a given.. that is teh normal limits of a trunk car.. the limits of a standard cab truck, limits you to what what you can carry inside the cab, and drive soemwhat comfortably. there are things to weigh when using a particular vehicle in street class.. a standard cab truck is not the ideal, although some can get a lil loud, all in the design... street allows you to use the vehile as it would be coming right of the assembly line... and as far as i know, a minitruck or fullsize standard cab, doesn't come with an optional blow-through. sorry bud

a one woofer class would be awesome in both SS and extreme, in the SS class as a no wall. i think it would open up the chance to do NW to more people because of space constraints. i have a whole truck bed, so i'm good...but someone with a smaller car may not be able to have enough room for a big ole box, amps, batteries, etc..but one woofer cuts box size in half, making lots more room and letting more people be competitive.
it'd be neat in extreme, but more beneficial in SS.

I think that a 1 woofer class for street might be beneficial b/c it is a consumer class and some kids just dont have the $ for 2 subs (at least not competition ones). This would give them their own class and might bring more kids into the sport.

Guess it was a newbie question then... LOL. Thought I would ask anyway. It would be a real cool class to compete in... All in the install, single woofer, tons of power.

Why doesnt street 1-2 allow one 15". I think that would be a good idea.

The reason for not having a 1 woofer class is simple. It wouldn't be supported. The goal is to have each class supported fully at each show, how many people in your local area are really serious enough to build a walled vehicle with only one sub? I would doubt this class would have more than 20 people nationwide. So now you have a dead class, which is exactly what a retailer doesn't want. Classes are great as is, we just need some local street classes to keep the people interested in finals from beating up on the new guy.

I don't think a 1 woofer class is right, i mean for the most part, i think most people probably have atleast 2 subs, and if they don't its due to lack of money or space, but they plan on going to 2 subs ASAP. The classes won't make everybody happy, we just have to cope with whats before us and make the best of it. I think we need to do like Wayne said, not really change the classes, but add more stability to them with tighter rules and more enforcement of them.

We definatley need more classes because there just isn't enough chances for me to win. I personally say less classes, but it don't bother me none.
