They better not count any scores for records! Other wise there will be some seriosly unrealilistic goals for people to reach all year and that will discourage a lot of conpetitors............ Posts: 19 | Registered: Aug 2001

I think if wayne consider them to high maybe can be aberage but I don tink the persons who brok the records should keep them. Oterwaise you given mor importance a 3X show instead a 4X show (finals) the records are 0 for 2002 at this time

I think that the first 3x point event is in Canada that is the Audiothunder show in March before SBN. I know that world records will be set there. SS 1-2 the Tercel will show what it has............

That's a given if it's the first 3x of the year. Every record will be set.

I am not sure where the post is. But I believe it was said that records are reset each and every year as they have been in the past.
Also cert SPL DOES NOT count from finals only the points do.
So what ever the first show that will be a 3x will be able to set records.

So basicaly people are saying is that no world records can be set at finals for any year. Wow. The records for 2001 are still there and unchanged since before finals.
I mean it was upsetting enough to go from 170.7 to 166.6 in the final round but to not get a record of 169.7 is a little unnerving.

Qual :169 1/4 :169.7 Sem :170.7 Fin :166.6
The numbers done at finals, count towards the 2001 world records. Remember we were still using 01's rules at finals.... hence the name finals 01.
After that, you can look at it 2 ways. The records either stand for that year, or they are reset for the following year (meaning you don't have to beat 01's scores to get 02's records)
Hope that helps

I am sure that when wayne has some time he will deal with the world record thing. As far as the points thing is concerned, this issue was delt with by wayne before finals.Since you don't know enough of the facts it would be appreciated if you would refrain from such statements. You may discuss this issue with me in person at any event I attend as long as I am done competing.
