I know its inside, but im not sure about the electricity or entry fee. I suggest you email Steve Benton w/ Get Loud Productions at dbsteve@alltel.net , Steve is the one running the dB drag portion.

Last year it was $30 for members and $35 for non members.... but that was ran last year by USAC.

Taken from the website....

Competitive Audio will be hosting it's 5th Annual Thunder in the Ozarks sound competition. This will be a Triple point Db Drags and Regional Triple point U.S.A.C. sound and SPL contest. The show starts Saturday at 10:00am with Db Drag qualifying.

This Event will be held in conjunction with The Promotion Company Inc. 4-Wheel Truck Jamboree. Approximately 12,000 people attended this event at the May 2000 show.

Competitive Audio's show will be held inside the air-conditioned E-Plex. The E-Plex has 120,000 square feet of floor space. The building is only four years old and very well maintained.

Vendor spaces start at $300.00 for stores (10' x 20')

Manufacturers booths are $1000.00 (10' x 20')

Competitors

Indoor Parking and electricity will be provided for competitors for the following prices.

Move in on Friday the 4th

Indoor for both days and nights $30.00

Outdoor Fenced in area both days and nights $10.00

USAC Sound quality $55.00 ($50.00 for Members)

USAC SPL $50.00 ($45.00 for Members)

-------------end of paste--------------

It really doesn't say how much it is to register for db drag.

If I get some free time today I will call around and find out.

Yes there will be cash awards. This was covered in another post. I believe 1st - 3rd place will be awarded.

Also for those wanting extra points, there will be a single point event also in Springfield Friday night at Harvey's Stereo.
Harvey's is easy to find with PLENTY of parking and is only a few miles from where the 3X will be held Sat & Sun.

If you need info on the single event, please email dbsteve@alltel.net .

Hope to see everyone then.

Just spoke with Tom at Competitive Audio.

dB Drag Entry fee is $40 members $45 non-members.

There is plenty of electrical hookup inside included with your $30 inside parking fee. This is for all weekend.

For the $10 outside parking fee ( fenced in w/security ) there will also be electrical hookup outside but you will need to bring extension cords, longer the better. This also is for all weekend.

Also, you will pay entry fee at the gate and if you choose to enter another event, you may come back later to the gate and pay. You will be allowed one extra person with you through the gate. Additional team members and spectators will pay the gate fee. It is usually $10-12. This money goes to the promotion company thats over the whole thing, not TOM or RALPH. Remember, 4X4 truck pull and 4X4 jamboree. Well worth the money! You wont get bored at this event!

If you have any questions, please contact Tom at competitiveaudio@hotmail.com 417-865-2442 or myself dbsteve@alltel.net 870-365-0981.

Hope this helps.

Will there be room for the tow vehicles or trailers indoors or is that what the $10 outside parking is for?

Correct me if im wrong but its going to cost $82 total if your a dB Drag member for the whole weekend? That is with the higher gate fee of $12.

How come last year we got in the gates for free and now we have to pay to get into the show that 80%-90% of us wont go look at?

If you do have to pay stop at the Get and Go that is next to the event on the south side and buy discount tickets, or find any get and go there in springfield. The tickets last year were like $6-8 at Get and Go! A lot cheaper

I just wanted to comment on the parking. There IS NOT the room inside for tow vehicles as well as compedators. Even more so with the amount of people it sounds like will be at the event.

Question: After the Harvey's Stereo show can we get back into the E-Plex's parking lot with secured fence?

I would feel better if my car was in a "fenced in" area with protection than in the middle of my hotel parking lot.

Thanks

The Harvey's Stereo event is the night before the 3x actually starts. You might want to call ahead of time to make sure that you are going to be able to park your vehicle at the fairgrounds on Friday night regardless.
