Other than those with Full Size Extended Cab Trucks (Giarc25, jlsql150, etc.), how many of you think that they should either be allowed to build a box on their rear seats, build a box on the floor in front of their seats, or remove their seats entirely in the street class. Please respond with:
Box on seats
Box on floor
Remove seat, box everywhere.
Thank you.

My opinion:
I believe that if a car can't remove the back seat and has to be fully functional, the full size trucks cant remove back seat and has to be fully functional, Then s10 truck should have the seats fully functional too. I have a car that has the fold down seats in it and my box cant slide up on the seat in compition.
I dont find it fair that a full sized truck is stuck with 9"under the seat(if that) in street class when an ext cab s-10 truck can have the jumps seats not fully functional and more air space for their speakers "per chamber". It give the s-10 and cars an advantage over a full sizes truck for air space per speaker..plus gives them a choice of a larger speaker then an 8.
My opinion.. Delete the exception and make vehicles fair . You have to have your set fully functional.(cars, Trucks, ect)

Box on floor: "Jumpseat" Trucks already have enough room for an enclosure without the special jump seat rule, the one made just for them.
Why do we have a rule unfairly helping one type of car? If a they want to use "extra" cargo space, they should be in Street max like SUVs that fold their seats.

You may fold seats, just not put enclosures on them in every other type of vehicle, and still remain in street. If you build on top, you're in max. However if you'd otherwise have a "street" system, you're up against cut throughs and cargos.
It's not so much that it gives an unfair advantage to jump-seat vehicles, it practically eliminates an entire class of vehicles - ext cabs with full seats that don't fold up.
Every vehicle has advantages and disadvantages in a given SPL class. While I know by and large again this issue has remained unaddressed by those in control with the rules, I do understand the need to put the rules to bed, so to speak, so the season can get underway.
Ext cab trucks are not going to be an easy "problem" to solve, but given the relative intelligence of those discussing it some sort of amicable solution can be found.

i myself dont have a problem with allowing the rear seats of ex. cab pickups to be removed, or have a box on top of them. just so long as you dont starting seeing a crew cab truck pull up with the back seats pulled out of it. i may be wrong in saying this, but i dont feel that mini trucks have much of an advantage. i may also be wrong, but i think that shedluv and i were about the only street class guys at finals this year, and neither one of us even qualified, so how is this an adavantage?
