Why purchase a membership if that's all you want to know?
Why do you think MSD classes were created? [Confused]

ok, lets send them to a msd, would the newbie that wants to become a competitor in mid season still have his points from competing in msd since he didn't have a barcode/membership at that time? Not trying to pick a fight just trying to close the loop holes

They don't anyway ...

This all is hypethitical anyone ... lets say they want to compete but don't have a membership, thats easy, compete but you get no points.

This is all about tracking competitors and their vehicles, keep that in mind. When you have a better way, please post it here. If not, don't bash others ideas.

OK,
I thought I was done with this post, but I see now that people are responding in a good way I want to add something myself.

ok I like the idea of the bar code, but do not put it on the winsheild. what happens if something happens to the windsheild?

Now about more than one show in each day, I think if you can attend both LEGALLY then thats good! But if you can attend a show almost 1000 miles away on the same day as another show THATS BOGUS!!!

I know in MECA they gave you a membership card. maybe this would work in dbra. have a barcode or just a membership number that goes along with you or your teams car, 1 membership number for 1 car. Sounds like a good idea to me.

The dBDRA does membership cards with #'s. There is nothing on there that says the type of vehicle.

People switch vehicles many times each year, would they then have to have new membership cards? Maybe they could purchase them adding extra income to the dBDRA. Maybe the 'certified judges' could keep extra copies of cards that can be filled out at the show and given to the competitor.

If the card says blue astro and the paint it, what then? If it just says Astro, would then competing with any Astro be ok?

VIN# wont work cause most extreme vehicles no longer have VIN#'s. Plus there is extra time involved in finding these.

Also, something has to be done for these single point events where the judges/promoter may not know what their doing. You can't use the software when dB Drags can still be allowed to be ran with Audio Controls and Termlab 'classic'.
