I was wondering why the topic about points vs. multi-points got closed. I think it was a very good topic. However, Steve I must say that most working people cannot get that many days off from work. I mean most people would like to relax occasionally on their days off. I have a rough time getting off work for a competition and I compete for my work. It is somewhat of a good idea. Maybe some other way of doing it needs to be figured out.
Just my thoughts,
Jason Meyer

You or any legitimate retailer pay the $100 retail membership and put on their own shows. Save money on entry fees, promote dB Drag in your area. Save travel time. 6 shows times 8 points for first is 48 points, thats almost half the points required.
What about the cost of a meter? Entry fees pay for this along with trophies or awards.
If competitors are in an area with no dB Drags, all they have to do is go to their local retailer, tell them whats up, offer to pay the retail membership for free entree fee to the shows. Most individuals have their own termlab and most are familiar with the rules.
Support your local retailer and you'll see more shows.

How much does it cost to put on a show? Can I hold a show? Since I have the USB system, can I still run one. I'm not a retailer either. I really am curious because I've wanted to start holding shows in my area if possible, seeing as there aren't any and I always here people talk about how they want some.

And this is exsactly what has happend in years past and always will happen....i always ask the children of the corn why they just didnt do this for 2 shops. And then hit a 2x....thats $200 bucks for how ever many people you can get to go in on it...easy 96 points...

It's harder than you think to talk a retailer into this. I tried several shops here in Iowa.
Tell them you will run the event and all they have to do is provide the 100 retail membership. This is what I did in Kirksville. I called him up and said I will do the events if he would supply the place and 100 retail membership. Win-win situation. I got some extra money for doing the event and extra points. DB Draggers had 3 more shows around here to attend. The retailer has the cool shop in town now because he is having shows.

It's not that easy over here on the maryland side we have to offer to pay everything and give them a little something just to convince them to host a show...but it works...
