I propose the requirement that American competitors be required to compete in at least 3 multipoint events as an additional requirement to attending finals. The reason that I am proposing this is to increase attendance at multipoint events I went to. I went to 3 doubles and 2 triples(could have done 3 didn't attend Daytona). Two with my daily driver and 3 with my van. I think at any one of these competitions that there were no more than 20 competitors most had 10-15.
We are trying to get Db drag more exposure and it is these multipoint events that have the highest spectator attendance.

this is simply not feasable since there isnt even ONE multipoint event within 750 miles from here, and there are many competetitors that are even farther away

Realistically isn't it more benficial to dbdrag if they goto more shows than less?? From the 2x point events that i have gone to around here there hasnt been many people at either.. it sort of sucks, but i guess everyone's scared of getting beat out by the big boys..

You going to pay my gas money to travel 600 miles to and from each multi point? What about my teammates gas money? What about the rest of the team?
This is a bad idea in many respects. Sure we want more exposure, but this is not the way to do it. The way to do it is to get the local retailer involved and have more shows, not concentrate the bulk of competitors to a select few shows.

reason for lack of turn out isn't people scared of getting beat its mainly two things.
1. lack of advertisement 2. lack of promoting the sport by the stores even in the off season.
making up some flyers 4 weeks before a show and handing out a few isn't going to cut it. make up a flyer 6 months ahead of time and promote it over that period of time.
requirements might help but I think people are missing the bigger picture.

Dear Jeremy I appreciate your interest in me paying for your gas but seeing as how it appears that you do not attend finals there would be no need for you to travel and compete at 3 multipoint shows if this rule were applied.
By the way I did not recieve any financial compensation for all the competiting that I did this year nor did I get any free equipment. I payed for 28 (MTX 1501)amps 54 batts (8v) and more than enough subs (Sigs) to compete all out of my own pocket and I have just a regular job as an installer. And I bought all of that this year 1/3 cash 2/3 credit and purchased all of it this season. OH yea I will still be paying for it all the way through the next season!!

you guys in florida have 1-2 multis each month . i have to agree with dave goss on this, and he drives alot further than i do. as long as florida only has lets say 1 multipointer per 20 million people in the state i think thats fine. us on the west coast are at an extreme disadvantage to this idea, hell we already travel further than anyone else besides oki for finals, why would you want to make it more difficult for us during the season? how about having finals in vegas . would be a WAY BETTER FINALS THAN NASHVILLE.
