I am so sick of hearing all this bitching, Everyone says that the purpose for the Quad bans and other equipment restrictions are to bring in the new competitors and the average "JOE". Well if you want to go screwing around with established classes and equipment How about do it in the classes that are most likely to be attractive to the new competitors,Can you all say STREET! The reason the new guy can't compete is because the people in those classes are Seasoned competitors and or pros, If you could get those guys out of the street classes Guesswhat You have a place for the new competitors to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How much damn sense does it take to reason this one out, I mean come on .. In closing, Stop screwing with the serious competitors that actually make this sport what it is, Extreme. And make the beginner classes be just that, For Beginners....

Noone has a concrete reason for not allowing Quads in Expert SS and Ex classes. You are right.

The only weight their arguements fall is on the beginner street class.

Maybe it's because people who do well in street have nowhere to go except back to street.. super street costs way too much money.. and with half the competitors in street and half in all the other classes.. sounds like it needs some restructuring..

IMO extreme should be cut down to 3 classes.

SS should be cut down to 3 classes

street expanded to 6 classes

or

Extreme -- 3 classes
Super Mod street -- 3 classes
Super street -- 3 classes
Street -- 3 classes

Extreme -- some refinements + 190 volt limit per voice coil.
Supder Mod -- SS as it is now, 160 volt limit per voice coil.
Super street -- limited to DVC subs , 15" max size, 130 volt limit per voice coil.
Street -- A same with 85v speaker output limit(per amp)
Street -- B same with 85v speaker output limit(per amp)
Street -- C expand into 6 12s or 4 15s or 2 18s with 85v speaker output limit(per amp)

its just a ruff idea but not going to put too much thought into something that might never happen.

volts * amps = power

volts^2 / r = power

4000watts PEAK total power 2,000 watts RMS

126 volts @ 4ohms thus 32 amps
89 volts @ 2 ohms thus 45 amps
63 volts @ 1 ohms thus 64 amps

hummm interesting point you have there have to think about that.

Doesn't MSD use the amps MAX rated wattage why not use the amps lowest rated imp.

No amp company in thier right mind will advertise thier 8ohm or 4ohm rating if the amps can goto 1ohm or 1/2 ohm. Thats against a marketing sale pitch to bring in/trick customers.
