I would like it to be an option for cars to run the cd players outside of the car. Street cars are getting so loud it's very hard for them to hold a 4 second burp without skipping at 154+.

The only people who complain about this idea haven't had there cars this loud. People will say "well this is street, do people run there street cars outside of the car"... come on now we all know it's a whole new level and diverent from real street cars.

I would also like ONE more street class, if it's street 1 or Street C, just one more, ideas are welcome.

I'm also tired of people complaining about the cost of street, you have to pay to play!!!!. CASE AND POINT.
I make 10.82 an hour, I've just built an almost 2000 sq ft house with a HUGE house payment, but managed to place at finals, it's the **$18 sheet of mdf wood** and the **$21 gallon of fiberglass** doing the numbers, so I wish people would stop crying about cost.

Keep the headunits in the car. And as for you making statement about people whining about cost and what not don't turn a rules idea post into a complaint post.

I vote no outside the car cd players in street.

If there were to be a pro street class than that would be cool, but if there is not gonna be a pro street than, I do not like the idea for the sake of STREET class. imo

I wasn't stating ad another class just for h/u out of car, I was stating all street classes should be able to.

I would like to see one more street class, like street 1, or a bigger street class

IMO If people can build a system that can do a 155 in street then they should be smart enough to be able to figure out a way to be able to make the CD player play w/o skipping. Install is a HUGE part of the game and if you can install 10,000 watts of power and produce a 155 then you should be able to install a CD changer in a way that would resemble a street application and still be able to play. If you fight is that you will have to pay lots of money to get a good CD player to do this then sell one of your $1600 amps and get you one. I learned this year it costs moeny to play with the big dogs so why go cheap on the CD player.

In our car it will do a 155 with the car on and the CD player in the dash will NOT skip!!! Just because the CRX's are skipping does not mean that the rules should be changed in their favor.

Next year the rule should be the same as it was this year but get the CD changers out of the front seats and make the street cars look something like you would see on the roads.

I have no problem with cd changers in the front or anywhere in the car for that matter. I've seen people come into the shop with there changer setting on the seat of in the floor of car. No one said the install had to be clean, just legal. and as for certain cars that used changers in front and were loud, i know for a fact some of those cars were loud without changer in front, just makes for easy access.

A quote from the 2003 rules...

quote:
Sound components such as speakers, amplifiers, enclosures, etc. should be fastened to the vehicle in such as way as to prevent them from causing injury or damage in the event of an accident.
Should this be removed from the rulebook?

But either way my buddy Bumpin Yoda has come up with a solotion that I think can work. I want the controls in my had more than anything so I can sand bag. [Big Grin]

Matt and Kevin its all part of the game. Our car can do a 155 without the CD player in the dash skipping. You all choose the car you are using and it is up to you all and anyone else who has a problem to fix and not for the org. to change the rules to help you.

I VOTE STREET KEEPS CD PLAYERS IN THE CAR!!!
