The only class that would need some sort of an amp limit is street class....and there really needs to be one badly before more of the 4kwt+ amps start appearing and driving a larger wedge between the veterans and newbie's......since Wayne has shown he has the "marbles" to ban quads for the overall betterment of the DBDRA I'm sure if he takes a step back and looks at the big picture he will see the benefit of an enforced power cap in street class.....then any amp that falls above the limit is banned in street A or if it is over the limit for B then it is out of street all together......if a new amp comes out and is in question....then all that needs to be done is a competitor protest it and put up a set amount of $$ for it to be tested and deemed legal or illegal....other than a system of a hard core DB Dragger I have never in my 10 yrs in the industry seen a daily driver with more than 4000wts rms of power...and at that it was for 4 subs.......not two......I would also suggest that DB Don be the official tester since he has already tested most of the amps we use today.....and all he asks is for someone to send the amp to him for testing......I'm sure something can be worked out that would be beneficial for the DBDRA, don and all of us.......my $.02

I'm sorry but I'm tired of people complaining about power and cost of street class, you pay if you want to play. My TWO dd12's dailey drive just fine of my modded 4kw. And they are even 3512's.

I'm not complaining...it was just another idea.....yes you have to pay to play.....i'm one of those who does pay to play.....but the point that was being made by Wayne that you must have missed is that in order for the sport to grow we need to make Street class more street...as it stands there are very few people around here competing anymore because they are sick of getting there aszes handed to them buy the pros......in '01 i was at 8 comps around here that the winner in STreet 1-2 had less than a 4db margine of victory only once....and he was only running a modded Mmats amp on a pair of shockers......the point is we need to make street more street...in '03 i ran 4 1200.1s at one show on 4 12L5s...i pulled a 152db on the old mics and was 4db up from the next guy...i took 3rd place to a 155 and a 156db...i spent more than the top guy did..i lost..it is not about how much you spend...it is about the power you have...i piad over 1800$ for my amps...the top guy spent $1500 on used modded D2s......

modded mmats amp and a pair of shocker...that wasn't me was it? yeah I guess it must have sucked for the locals to get beat so badly but really they probobly spent more money then I did to get worse equipment...I just bought it from the right places...which brings into account the fact that to win in street you pretty much need to cut out the local dealers which is why they won't support dbdrag
