Well with it almost official that Quads are to be banned I would really Suggest that classes not be combined. Banning Quads will create a problem where competitors will have twice the necessary amplifiers that they can use in their current class. They will have 2 options sell 1/2 of their amps at a loss or double their speakers and move up in class. To me it is actualy easier to move up in class most competitors already have enough speakers to compete in higher classes instead of taking the loss of selling amplifiers. Subs generaly run about 300-450. amps usualy run 200-600 each.

If you ban quads and combine 5+ you will lose alot more competitors than you would by just doing one or the other. Either way you will lose a few but a few is better than alot.

Honestly......

If things go the way they seemed to be heading, you can say good bye to db drag for new england.

I am the only promoter in the area trying to keep db drag alive. We have HUGE turnouts for USACi and SLAP, but db drag has been lacking. I have tried my damndest to keep my favorite organization alive and well in my area. But I can honestly say, that if quads get dropped, you will loose a great many competitors. Wayne does realize that most of us compete in multiple orgs. Does he really think we want to swap out woofers and amps between every different show? No. we wont. So db drag just aint gonna happen.

Sorry, but this is just the way things are......

DB Drag.....where you gotta pay to play!

last i checked drag guys would actually have to remove eqpt for other organisations...the only reason i see drag guy have to change eqpt for somthing else like usac is if they wanted to run quads and 8 amps per for 601+..but other than that i dont get what your saying..but to will..i agree with what you say if things go no quads leave the classes alone...

We dont have to change equip for iasca, we dont have to change equipment for slap, we dont have to change equipment for meca, we dont have to change equipment for nspl. Why would we want to go through all the trouble of swapping out amps and subs all the time???
