Wow...I just got finished reading all that. As I see it from a first year competitors view, I think it would be a great idea to add both a S1 and an E1, but again, the problem comes up as to what to drop...how about this:
S1 (15 inch limit) S2-3 (3 15s or 2 18s)
SS: The same
Ex 1 (This would be exciting) Ex2-3 Ex4-7 Ex8+
This can be modded a bit, but I kinda like it. I really wanna see a Ex1 division. It does not benefit me at all personally, but I think it would be good for shows...

The way I see things, we could leave the Street classes alone or we could change them to "cone area" classes. Cone area classes would permit the use of speakers larger than 12 inches. I would not like to see any other changes to the Street Division classes (such as power limits, price limits, changes in electrical systems, etc.) I believe the current limitations are effective. The real question should be, "Cone area or leave it be?"
As for the 1 remaining "spare" class, it could be used for Street, Super Street, Extreme, or it could simply be eliminated. We really need to reduce the total number of classes so that we can fill the brackets at multipoint events.
I would vote to switch Street to Cone Area.
What was decided on the Quad coil issue?

I really like SPLENDURO's idea of 'blacklisting' certain amps. We need to realize that many would-be newbies never compete because they have NO CHANCE AT ALL. I won my first show ever back in 1994 and it got me hooked for life. Let's return the favor to the high school kids of today.

I have been posting about an amp list like that for the past 2 yrs...yes it would be great to have hear but unfortunatly i do not see that ever happening..

This changes too much....the only things up for change to the basic classes is the combination of ex 9-12 & 13+ and the addition of another street class........the way you have it listed for street you basicaly make it so you would need to at least have 15s to stand a chance....the simplest changes that can be made are the best.....
Street 1-2 (one 15 alowed) Street 3-4 ( 2 15s alowed)
Super street NW (4 batts & 2 amps per sub max) Super street wall classes(no change)
EX all the same with the combination of 9-12 & 13+
This plan has the most benifits...with the addition of a list of amps that can not be used in street 1-2 and that you can only have one of in 3-4....

why bother with street class, leave it the way it is just get rid of the move up rule. maybe have some kind of a restriction on the number of bridgable channels on the sub amp but thats about it.
