Thanks for the kind comments. We ALWAYS listen but change must be gradual.

If the vehicle is NOT running, then I believe we should consider lifting the restriction on "stiffening" caps as they are not "active" sources of power.

What do you think?

I am very sorry, but i think i will have to find another organization to compete in.

I can not afford another amplifier, my car's batery is very small, i can not fit in any bigger.. max 45Ah.

Let the dB-Drag be just for the rich boys. They can buy another amp, another car...

I loved dB-Drag the way it was.

Only thing i need cleared up is are people going to be able to have a charger on the batt between runs?...and if not the alt rule needs to be inforced. Cause recharging it going to be a BIG issue for some people.

Wayne I never ment u didnt listen....i ment that this year it seems like there is alot of change for the better/progress of db drag.

Only thing i hope never will happen is letting mini street into finals cause it will corrupt that class to.

I was going to point this out as well, because there were a lot of street competitors last year that had chargers in between rounds, I don't think that this is fair either, I feel that the cars electrical system needs to charge the batt.

I like that ideal...but that would open up a Big can of worms [Eek!] ...the one batt is the leveler. But it would be nice to be able to run 2 $75 batts instead of 1 $350 batt. [Big Grin] But then people whould just have 2 $350 batts [Roll Eyes]

Wayne also is it just me...i dont see the amp limits in the rules cause its crossed out...or is they not going to be any. The batt is going to be the limiter?

If the vehicle is NOT running, then I believe we should consider lifting the restriction on "stiffening" caps as they are not "active" sources of power.

What do you think?

If you take of the limit of stiffening caps, would this mean that batcaps are allowed? I know before they were not allowed because they are considered a huge capacitor by the dBDRA. This is the only problem I forsee with that.

I don't think the new rule about keeping street cars runnin in the lanes is a good idea and here is why. Even if you leave you car running for the hole competition you never get the battery back up to full steam after a few runs.If you let street competitors charge there batteries between runs it will not help because a lot of venues don't have the ability to give every one juice for there chargers.

Yet another good point, therefore we will see the scores going down every run. And agin, this is going to open up for other issues, like people running bigger batteries. Then you will have to limit the size, then that isn't fair, then this then that. Wayne do you not see this "snowball effect" from changing these rules? I really think that you need to just remove the move up rule, and that's it, leave everything else alone, it was fine, everything went fine last season.

I dont see this problem with charging between rounds...if you are running a true street amp you will be able to recharge in time for the next round ...i did last year at audiothunder....we were not alowed to run the cars in the building so the only charging you got was as you drove out and back in....i was 2dbs low durring system testing between rounds...that is at 12v compared to 14.9v in the lanes.....and that was with 2 2000wt amps and two 850cca Autozone batts and a stock 100amp alt.......it can be done.....hell my car was off when i was eliminated with a 149.....only 1db off from when it was running.....
