Please let me know. We are considering limiting SS1-2NW to DVC.

We will be...If you do that then subs like the RE XXX will be banned. People use them for daily driving all the time but only come in quad coils.

I'm almost quite sure no one's using Quads in Europe ...
(perhaps after knowing this it's easier to get an overview)

I think almost everyone at finals in no wall had quads with very few exceptions (almost everyone that qualified except possibly Danny Hayes). I think banning quads in no wall would be good but as far as the XXX comment it would be "discrete" coils so basically you could still use quads but only run as many amps as you would on duals

Dont limmet it to dvc...limmet the amount of amps and batts instead...that would make it more of a stepping stone to SS wall than the way it is now...the numbers in NW and 1-2 are dam near identical.....

I just ordered an extensive amount of product (costly) because it was stated in another thread a week or two ago by Wayne that there would be "no changes to Super Street" One of those Items was a Quad Coil woofer that I was going to use to compete in this class. I would be absolutely irate if the rules were changed now.

I've heard rumours of people going to use quads in SS 1-2 NW here in Sweden this year.

I say let's keep all the SS classes the same.

I went back and read through the rules discussions. Wayne, you stated there would be no changes to SS. All that was on the table was Expert and Street. Is this changing now?

Wayne,

I have asked this on the dB drag forum but no one gave me a real reason why people can't use quad's in street? It will just let people run a lower imp. if they use a single sub set up. This is my first year in db drag and I wanted to use a quad sub because I don't have the room for a large box for 2 12's (if I do I wouldn't have a trunk left) also why wouldn't you want people to use them is SS. Im not trying to contradict you but I thought you could clear it up for me because I have been thinking about it for a long time. thanks for everything and giving me a hobby that I love.

i say let the quads stay even if i cant afford them now ... cause down the road when everyone will make them they will become as affordable as the dual voice coils of today.
