couple of questions regarding installation:
i really like all of the install guides in place (regarding the bonus poitns for each)
i'm wondering where single cab trucks fall in place.
i see there is a bpillar rule again...
can a single cab truck have a center console sub enclosure, where the enclosure is the center console and the subwoofer would be obviously and blatantly in front of the b-pillar.
and, more importantly....
can single cab trucks have cut throughs?
i get the impression that psychlone is about bringing back old school systems. i've gotten rid of my ex-cab s-10 and am in the process of rebuilding a single cab s-10.
obviouslly in order to have a good, loud system, i'm going to need to do a cut through where the enclosure is in the bed blowing through to the cab.
if thats not allwoed, then i would be limited to a center console enclosure, which is goign to have a limit of only a single 10" sub.
i'd really like to build for psychlone and bass race, but that is really only going to be possible with a bed mounted enclosure... which is certainly back to old school roots too.
another question about bpillar....
in a single cab, there is very limited space for amps. my intention was to go old school and moutn the amps on the ceiling... since i prefer not to have them in the bed.
since its a single cab, moutnign them on the roof will automatically put them in front of the pillar.
please understand, i'm not nit picking at the rules, as i know they are preliminary.. i just dont know if any of these issues have been though about, and i really do want to build for the class. but i dont want to build and then show up to the first event and find out that everything i did was for nothing and none of it is legal.

I will let others comment on this too, but my opinion is that center console enclosures should be ok provided they are kept reasonably small and functionable(1-2 cubes), blow throughs should be allowed as well, don't see a reason why they wouldn't be. Until Wayne finalizes the rules we won't know for sure, we just have to use common sense on the rules till then.

I agree with Don. 2cubes is a pretty big center consol. But I allowed a guy at my last show to run a center console with I think 3 tens in it and another with a cut through. In my estimation everything you mentions I think should be fine, but thanks for bringing those concerns to our attention. later Doug
and you guys think amps on the roof wont be an issue?
i'm building this truck to showcase maxxsonics products. i dont want the amps stuffed behind the seats.
and for security and safety i dont want them in the bed either.
thats why i decided on an old school early 90's style amp rack... mounted on the roof.
