There is two separate runs one for 30 second averaged spl with music & drivers door open. The lower/louder you go the better.
And the last run on the RTA mic is for us to see how much control over the sound you have and try to achieve a flat line response with pink noise to achieve maximum points. Some call it a SQ run but in all honesty with it set perfectly flat it sounds pretty bad. So I call it a Sound Control run lol. But if you can achieve a flat line we know you would then have the ability to make it sound absolutly sweet with proper settings on the EQ.

The open drivers door is only if possible but in a situation where the open doors cause problems I am sure i would be ok to run closed, the only difference would be its tougher to get the extreme lows with vehicle closed up. We want it good for the crowd so thats why the open door and it seems to really excite people.
