How much did you pay for that speaker new? How did it sound, what kind of install? The shop I work at has a new one in the basement he has had for a long time.
the LVS were VERY ineff because of the long coil and spiders spaced far apart. not a good design for output you would be better off with a single basket.
15 is done except for a dust cap will send josh pix tomarrow when done...

the former was really long because of the 2 stacked baskets. there is no reason to stack the baskets other than to get attention...

I ended up paying 200 bux for it from a shop that was closing and was getting rid of their stuff.. It sounded pretty good though but I was never really impressed. I had it hooked up to a memphis 1100w amp but I dont remember the box info though.
and yeah it wasnt very efficient I have been thinking of getting someone to make it into just a single basket and fixing it.
seeing MREZSTREET's sub makes me want to do something with it.

normally i would suggest tuning fairly low in a display room. but since you know you're going to be playing around 60Hz off the wall socket(good idea)....I would maybe do about 3.5cf and tune the port around 55Hz, should get you a good peak right about 60hz.

Corey and I talked anout it a lot...it takes lots to power a 3k watt rms amp on a sound board....400amp draw and even if I did a few 60+ amp power suplz that ganna take batt bank too...that's ganna cost a lot...ill run a 1500 watt ap 1500.1 in it for the other subs, and run the 15 off the wall....it sure makes people flip ...and that's what I need to keep the shop growing....and corey thanks again for all your help... Spl room got mud on it tonight..hope to get it painted this week end and boxes in first part of next week...then door will go on....ganna be fun!
