are you trying to learn more on the side of..
spl/competition?
enclosure building?
basic installation?
advanced fabrication?
just not sure where your skills are at this point

just never be afraid to ask a question. most people are willing to help. just don't ask the same question 5 times in different sections of the forum.

You will learn more in your driveway and at your local shops than you ever will from reading anything.

Shows talking to people who actually compete is a good way also.

hands on though is by far the best way. you will learn from your mistakes.

I wanted to learn about stereos way back when I was 15. I started by sweeping floors and learning the trade at a local stereo shop. Find a stereo shop and see if you can do an 'intern' type deal. For me it was well worth my time.

learn the formula for paralleling and series connections with speakers and resistances.
get a copy of the MECP guidebook and read it a few times. highlight things and study it.
get a copy of some book on basic electronics.

go to the BEST car audio shop in your area, and see if maybe one of the installers can talk to you about what type of tools would be the most handy to have when starting out, and what would help as you get more advanced.
