Why do you use a 50 or 60 hz test tone to set an amp whether then the lowest frequency the given speaker will be producing? the lowest frequency will require the amp to generate the most power right?

Its bout mid point on what you will run 30-80 hz and the test tone is sending the same note so you can run a o scope and chech for cliped signl...and helps you tune to power ( set amp at 1200 watts) ect
