I understand what he is taking about and this is some what true. the cab of the truck will become an enclosure for the subs how ever I would not suggest running two subs in a 75cube box!! years back Pioneer used to make a free air sub that might work close to the setup you are talking about how ever the kicker line that you have will not work very well in this setup. my suggestion to you would be to fab ub a set of 2 or three inch risers to raise the rear seat in order to install some custom boxes. the best results I have see with under seat boxes has been subs firing down with about a 3 inch gap between the floor and the sub. It is kinda like makeing a 4th order box and it sounds pretty good too. I hope that this information helps you? let me know I could try to explain it in a differant way for you if needed?

That can be done the best way to do that would basicly make you a fiberglass box. resighn everything and seal everything up that you can you can use the truck for the box just keep in mind that the truck will flex!! and seal everything up that you can!! they best way to do this make several carbord templates for the box then cut every thing out of wood. Remove the rear seat install the box and then reinstall the rear seat!! good luck keep us posted and I wanna see some pics!!

well I know there have been problems for the people that did not buy the adapter!! as far as making it pretty and taking your time that is well and great. one thing you have to think about is once you get done with it will you be happy with it? if not I suggest that you build something and try it out first before you spend all the time in making it look nice!! just think about how many times you will have to change the system before you will finly be happy with it.

if you dont' want to go all out fiberglass then I can suggest what we did on a few installs.

Are you concerened about keeping the carpet under the back seats? Since you are willing to go drilling into the seats. Here is a basic step by step.
Determine how big you want to make the sides of the box.
Remove any material that will be under the box (carpet and padding). Only removing exactly what will be under the box.
Build the sides and top of the box, remember to account for depth of subs and how much the sub will stick out of the top of the box, you don't want your subs in your seat.
If you are not worried about flex so much you could liquid nail the sides down to the floor of the truck. We did this on one install and it worked just fine.
If you are concerened with flex of the floor then you have two options. Fiberglass the sides directly to the floor or build a fiberglass floor. If you do not want to fiberglass directly to the floor then lay down some wrap under the box before you lay down the sides. Then use plenty of tape around the outside edges to keep the resin in the mold (sides). Simply spread resin across the whole area and then start laying in mat, resin, mat, resin, blah blah blah. You can build this up as much as you want, just keep an idea on the sub depth. Remember this will be on the inside so looks do not matter, it's all about strength. If you want to go directly to the floor then simply do the same but without the wrap under the bottom. Also remember to lay your mat on the inside.
If you want to keep your carpet then do the fiberglass part with the wrap, once you get at least 2 layers down let it dry. Then you can remove the box to add a couple more layers, install the top, and cover the box in your choosing.

I wish I had some pics of the boxes I have done, but I lost them over time.
