Soundstream used to make great product...but didn't they get bought out by Power Acoustik or something?

When Juan worked there they had some GREAT product...Kicker is good stuff and they support their dealers 100%

Cook never carried MTX so I can't comment

wow dave that is a suprise. it seams like you would move far more ss because they have more to offer. ss has 2k+rms amps that are affordable to the masses. not bashing kicker at all there prices are high but they do back ya. mtx USED to make great products.

I would NOT pick kicker. I love the product...but since they switched to wholesale house and other crap distribution, it's not worth it. It's WAY to accessible online, and I have even seen it being sold online for less money that our shops pay cost as an authorized retailer. We are still a kicker dealer, but have not been stocking it for so long. Everyone will be buying it from the ebay and maybe even your local gas station for lower prices. Yes, I have seen gas stations selling Kicker at dirt cheap prices.

MTX would be good if you don't have another dealer in your area. If circuit city was still open, I wouldn't suggest anything but MTX's Marine line, and maybe use them for thunderform enclosures for cheap'o's who won't pay for full custom. That's basically what we did. But since circuit city is gone and not dumping it(and polk) on everyone who walks in the door...might be a decent buy due to having a good name and decent retail product.

Then I'd be thinking of Powerbass, then Soundstream.

If there isn't a rockford dealer in your area, and can afford to stock LARGE amounts of it, that'd be a great ticket right there

Corey,

to be honest, I will use Kicker more just for subs. Their amp pricing is insane IMO. I like powerbass amps. they are cost effective, reliable and make decent power. The SS tarantula and picasso lines are nice too. I actually considered SS amps for my install. Im not really loyal to 1 brand but ppl love square subs. Its like second to JL stuff in the hood lmao.

Epsilon Elecronics owns SoundStream, PPI, PA, SPL, Kole, Farenheit, and elite. SS does have about everything covered from low lines to top line. Plus Grizz Archer is the Man. The others are way mainstream, and i think that makes for a pricy product. I think I would pick Kicker over MTX, more droduct lines

Kicker is a horrible company to do business with from a small retailer's point of view. You can get on eBay and buy Kicker cheaper than what your cost would be.

We dropped Kicker and Memphis for DD and Hertz/Audison.

Neither one are whored out all over the internet and trans shipped from here to eternity.
