sounstream owns power acoustik so why are sounstream products so much better? i was comparing amps and subs from both and the looks are identical but ratings are very one sided. at least sounstream gives the rms at the voltage it was tested. the #s are not miss leading (2000w rms @ 14.8v when you think it's 12.6) they have some great products that are reasonably priced. so why do the same products with different names have one thats ok and one thats very good?

My ps15500d i had sucked balls. Power acoustik should be shut down for making that thing. Supposed to put out 3200 at 1 ohm but it probably didnt break 1500.

Other way around I believe Power Acoustik owns Soundstream. its sorta like Chevy and GMC both are basicly the same thing but the GMC is a bit nicer

Thats what I mean, the sounstreams are not off by more than a few watts. Nothing really noticeable, so why is power acoustik tested @ 16.4v and listed like it's 12v?

because they're using deceptive advertising to compete with all the other junk brands. Like a Sony 1000W that really puts out around 250watts, and dirty at that

I own the BAMF 5500/1D and am VERY inpressed with it. It powered 2 db drive plw15d4's very well. I read here awhile back that they tested at 3400 plus watts rms at 1 ohm forgot voltage though. Not bad for the price. Still want to get another one and run them together (strapped) and see what they do. Like I said, I like mine VERY much. NO complaints so far!!!

I've got a 07 OV2 820 on a pair of MTX 12" (don't remember the model) and to me it hits hard as hell! I just started looking at numbers and I'm wanting to understand. 12v - 14v is what range I want to stay in. are the ratings true or made to sell amps?
