how do you get sponsorship in bass racing or is it just who you know?

I was just wondering how it works. I'm doing it all myself from glassing to wiring. I did lots of research and trial & error. I have the visions, skills and determination. Now if only I can get the rest of the money.

you need to be able to sell for the company multiple times the value of the value of the product they give you.
Putting stickers on your car doesn't sell product.
Just showing up at shows--doesn't sell product.
Winning--doesn't sell product.
Sponsorship is basically a job. You now work for the company. You need to sell their products.
You want a sponsorship--take the job as a free intern. Buy what you need from the companies you believe in. Sell their products. Get to know the company. Then down the road, maybe something will happen for you.
By "sell" I don't mean have inventory and collect money. I mean be a salesman, promoter of the products.
