I get so sick and tired of youtube.There is a vid of Toyz with Noize breaking their windshield at the 2000 IASCA World finals.For some stupid reason they think STEVE MEADE can walk all over the suburban.Whe david posted on there that it was his suburban,they told him he's a liar and he didnt build nothing.THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF. Why does everyone compares a spl vehicle to a street beater.I have had enough of this ****.2010 SBN make sure ya'll be there.i also have 4 18's i'm ending this ****.

I went through this with Meade a few years ago. He has a pretty loud vehicle which I believe is in the mid 150s, around a 156 or so which is still stupid sick for a daily driver.
He also has a website where he has over a hundred videos and a big forum for people to come check it out.
So of course when these kids and people that don't know any better see Steves truck and havn't seen any real SPL setups they think Steve is the loudest on the planet.
I don't blame Meade for posting his videos because people like to see them and I don't blame him for starting his own forum to post the work he does...
And you really can't blame him for the following he has now...I'm not really sure why he has such a following but everyone is on his nuts these days
Makes me think about keeping the expedition and doing a real similar setup to his

Yeah justin, i dont blame Steve for any of this but he neds to tell his groupies to be more humbling to people who have done this stuff longer.The insult to David baldwin by one of his fans was enough.oh yeah i got a similar set up to his and my box is built stronger

unfortunately, i have gained a bigger following then i anticipated when i made my website and started posting youtube video's. Actually, part of the reason i started a site was to relieve you guys of the burden of reading my name over and over again and sincethat time, i havent hardly posted ANYTHING here. I have basicly stayed out of termpro's "hair" for 3 years now and instead of it going away, it got bigger, WAY bigger. It is 1000% out of control as far as members and people who like what i do. Its fun, i love it, and im at a point where i can quit my job if i want (lookup "youtube partner" and you will understand).
Now that all being said, I also get people talking mad 5H!t to me EVERY SINGLE DAY. The kind of **** you want to seriously B!TCH slap someone. I actually have considered hopping on a plane a few times from some of the personal attacks.....in the end, Its youtube, the haters have their heads COMPLETELY up their a55es, not a single one has ever made a bit of sense when trying to bring you down, EVER. I cant stand what they say to me and to be honest, I have no control over what people say to you. Im sorry for that. You should know they dont say it ON MY BEHALF. I get 80,000 video views every day, i would LOVE to tell the youtube viewers to "be humble" but that is impossible.

this is exactly why I'm wanting to build something similar to yours...and make a head to head website...
If I could get 75% of the hits you do to a "anti-meade" site then It'd help out my cash flow

Yeah, who cares what people on youtube say. Termpro and SMD are pretty much the only forums I visit every single day now. Termpro for the sheer knowledge and info for anything I could possibly want to know. SMD for damn near everything else. He runs a great forum and does a lot to help promote car audio. I love watching his vids and seeing his builds, gets me motivated to get louder.

damn, i just realized i got called out LOL!! wow how did that slide past me. Tell you what, slap some 20's or 22's and a set of 30 series tires on that minivan and head on out to cali for a weekend show. You do that and i may consider driving to Daytona (6,000 miles round trip).
To be honest, you may not want to call me out until you hear my system first. Are you playing out of the cargo area (walled or not doesnt matter to me)? Lets do this.
2010 may not fully be out of the question, i plan on having some drastic changes myself soon.
anyway, called out and basicly sh!t on by the o.p. - and i had nathen' to do with nathen'......minding my own bizness. Gotta love it

Steve i have poked my head in your tahoe along time ago.(dont remember ?? I have heard it and yes it is very-painfully loud. but i have heard louder. that my point.15 years in car audio man.now as for calling you out.thats not the case. I respect what you have because it is a street beater.Thats how it all started anyway. 2010 SBN my set up will be there if you come or not.I dont want to start a forum or nothing to compare to no one.the best way is in the lanes period.i'm old school and i have some old school tricks.my set up is 2 years in the making not a random choice.Seriously tho you need to check out toys with noize youtube video for your self.David Baldwin is a spl legend and those guys say he never existed.there isnt many legends competing left and if it wasnt for him the whole broken windshield and 5 inches flex thing wouldnt have gotten started.everyone liked high notes back then. he changed it. that caravan isnt my real vehicle.it is down in Florida.

I've just gotta say there are very few people I respect in the car audio world as much as Steve.
Not so much for his balls-out systems but the way he handles himself.
Can you IMAGINE the idiots he has to deal with ona daily basis?
Not only does he have to balance all the people who swing from his nuts but he's also dealing with all the people who think he's the anti-christ of car audio.
Those who love him are so over zealous that they often speak on his behalf and make him sound like a complete jackass. (although he seems to be one of the nicest and most humble people around)
Then there's people who hate him with such a passion that no matter WHAT the guy does he's either seen as a jerk who is just showing off or someone who just has a large bankroll to finance stuff no one else can.
Despite all this he's ALWAYS a cool guy on the forums and ALWAYS has a smile.
Can you say you'd be the same way in face of all the crap he deals with? I know I couldn't.
(oh, and there's also the fact that Mrs. Meade is very hot - so mad respect for that one too)

Key word, a LONG time ago ...no i dont remember, i dont even know who you are. Maybe we should go round 2, where did you see me last? anyway, sorry again you got your feathers ruffled over something a random youtuber said but i cant control it at all. From the bottom of my heart, i wish they wouldnt do that. If you know me, which you dont, you would know that when i see those comments "on my behalf", even on OTHER peoples accounts, i will usually go in there and shut them down or ask them to back off. They usually do.
In the future, all you have to do is hit the "block" button then the "remove" button on someone who says something to you that you dont like.

That pretty much sums it up right there.
I would also add that every public type person will have the haters, lovers, ballhuggers and neutrals.
Steve started his journey in a time when going to shows people(spectators) were met with closed doors. So its not hard to understand why a completly open door demo/spl daily driver that welcomes all to listen is so popular.
Its good to see real systems that peak below 50hz making a comeback in the lanes and demoing when their not in the lanes.
Steve's a victom of his own creation in this case and I think the anger of the op is mis-directed.
Just for the record though, Davids suburban is one of a few legendary vehicles that is a staple for stock vehicles with walls. I mean who made shattering windshields cool?
