congrats.
Thanks man. You really have me thinking about the internal flare. I could do it but the top and bottom would have to be cut down to fit. A more extreme version of what I had to do to the external flare. Think I would still gain from the "mostly flared" port?

I've thought about it but being this close to finals I don't want to smoke an amp I can't afford to replace. I also have a problem with testing output. On my clamp setup I have been testing at about 1400 rms. When I clamped at a comp their clamp meter put me at 1700 rms. I don't want to push it to the limit and then be way over at a show. If I could KNOW I was getting up to the 2000 mark I bet I would be over a 150 but there is just a huge diff in the clamp meters. All stuff I will be ready for next season....As for shrinking the box, I am going to downsize it on my next rebuild. Thanks for the good advice!

Is your clamped power peak power or is the reading taken after 3 seconds to give you true rms power? If it is taken using peak/hold then it is peak wattage which is only realized in the first .1 second then the output drops during the burp. Readings taken at the last second of the burp more closely reflect true rms power.

After doing some glassing and adding an internal flare I found my 150. Well, and changing my amp to a Soundstream 6500D. I can do a 150 now with 1700 watts rms clamped. It will do a 151 with 3000 rms clamped. It took 1st place in MidWestSPL Nationals last weekend. Here is the vid of all my finals runs.

Midwest spl meters in the kick panel right? Either way that's a very good score. Congrats!
