I'd go with 2-3000's just to be safe. Remember, you can always upgrade and the pro's are 18v stable!

well i just do 1 3000 for the 4 15's dont think on a dd demo ride the gp15's will hold up to a 3000 per pair. the 18v thing is a nice little deal to...for $100 i can make my alt a 13-20v unit

I agree with Gav, I now wish I had gone with GP amps verse my current purchase of the 4 Brutus 2608D's. When I had bought the amps I have now Maxxsonics was in transition from the old GP to the new ones and thus they had none instock!

I say that you should do the 4 1500's. Here's the reason why I think that. You are going to have impedence rise since the box you are building if for is to demo with. The box will more than likely not be too efficient. With an amp per sub you will get less rise per amp since you'll only have the impedence of one sub to factor rise in instead of 4. An example is my car. Right now I have 2 dual 1 ohm subs wired to 1 ohm mono on the GP3000D. When I calculate rise after figuring my current and voltage it is usually 3.8-3.9 ohms. At that impedence I'm getting 1900 watts to the pair of subs. I am getting ready to get 2 Sundown 1500D's and run them at .5 ohms each, and if they follow the same trend in rise as they do when wired together to the single GP amp I will probably see each amp have a rise to 1.5 ohms. Letting each of my subs see more power than they were off of the single amp, since it's splitting the rise between two amps. If you were building an efficient box to burp with I'd say go with the single amp because if you have the power and can get the impedence down you will more than likely get the single amp to make more power.

i can see multiple amps perhaps having better control of the woofer due to damping factor, and less reactive loads acting differently. but using a single amp, you'd be better off in a single chamber enclosure...which would likely yield better scores.

The Brutus amps are great retail amps and they are very affordable.
The GP3000D-Pro uses Hifonics XXV technology just like the XXV Thor. It has more output devices, a heavier 2 sided pcb and bigger power supply. It's built for competition and can really take a beating.
