Hey whats up? Been a while since I posted on here.

I have two 12" mmats jugg's. I dono how this happened but I have some tensil leads that are split in half. Could these be replaced started under the dust cap and out to the terminals or does this kinda problem call for recones?! There is nothing wrong with the voicecoils just the leads. MMATS said they wont sell recone kits, id have to send them in and get them reconed. I think the lady said 290$ per sub.

Anyone have any suggestions? [Blob]

My bad. Here is the best I could get. If you notice in the second picture, there is a rubber protector that goes around the lead but i guess from so much wear and tear over the years, its falling apart.

In a time long past I repaired an MTX subs tinsel leads by soldering on a longer lead. It worked for a long time.

If your looking to do recones, 290 seems awful steep, try soldering it. can't do anymore damage than what is already done.

looks like you played below tunning cause the cone is cracked.

what to do to fix is get some tinsil lead or some really heavy desoldering wick. solder to the end at the cone then glue(black ca) that to the back of the cone then reattach and solder to the terminal.
