i get a call from a good friend and customer 2 mins ago. he has a 95 T bird (summer car) and has gone threw 4 starters in the last 2 months (burnt seloniods). the Ford garage's head mech has been replacing them but they have been rebuilds from parts master. today he replaced the starter with a direct ford starter and it was alot heavier build my friend said.

the mech said it was the capacitor in the truck burning out the starter and unhooked it. now this system has a total off 800rms and was installed somewhere around 1998. my friend laughed at him and then the mech said well it could be a kink in the power wire to the audio also causing this problem, lol.

i told my frind to have the mech call me so i could school him. there isnt even a big 3 or remote atart or alarm in this car. they have to try and find something to blame. i cant believe he is THIS ignorant! i am rolling,LOL,LOL....

Maybe the amp is putting out too much power and burning up the selenoids. No it's got to be the deck that's doing it, it's the ipod adapter that's causing the starter to burn up. Mechanics who blame the stereo install are morons and have no clue what they are talking about.
