Ever notice wild animals stop and look around when you drive by with the bass up? Not sure how many of you lives where a deer can jump out of nowhere but my hypothesis is that bass as an unknown "threat" can at least stops a deer from running, and if they're next to the road they'll either move away or at least not walk in front of you when you're nearby.
