My sealed chamber on the 4th order.. Where to start to explain this
Ok the sealed chamber is 10.5 internal high(with subs firing up into the ported chamber) 41 wide and 49 deep. There are 9 12's They go full width equally spaced 3 wide(the baffle plate holding the subs is 49x41 so they go the full 41 wide. Now on the depth. Now from to back the subs are 3 rows BUT they are grouped together and leave a air pocket at the front with no subs that is about 10 inches . Now I have always heard airspace is airspace. BUT I wonder with the long "tunnel" of subs (3 rows with only 10.5 inches of height) could cause loading issues. I just wonder with the long narrow chamber if the back row/s could be seeing different pressure than the front row due to the excess chamber of air there. I figured the air moving back and forth between the first row of subs (from rows 2 and 3 pulling air)could cause a different pressure.NOW why I think this and am asking. For people that haven't been following have had extreme excursion off no power in my 4th order. Well I was looking at the rear row the other day and noticed a wobble on low freq tones. Not a constant .. for sure looked like it was moving odd. So I took some clothes(all i had at the time and dont' have a garage)and put them in industrial tightly tied trash bags and blocked off the front chamber (now I know this isn't air tight but just to get an idea)Rear subs(furthest away from the air pocket) moved 1/3rd as much as before and looked linear. ALso increased the low end response and overall output

Sorry accidentally posted too soon.. Now increased low end response with less cone movement and a smaller box overall just by blocking the front pocket off. Anybody have ideas why this would be. oh and today to do a longer test before I block that area off permanently I made some small sand bags and put them in the front chamber. I had to angle them back though to keep them from falling so at a slant like this \. so didn't completely block that pocket. And improved output over nothing being in there. And back row only moves like 1/2 inch at 35hz. BUT the middle row moves like 1/4 inch and i can't see the front row because of the volume of this thing I can't park it anywhere and play it really. so I have to view while I am driving. But for sure changing that small 2 cube area on the sealed chamber is making MASSIVE differences in the sub movement. And the best was when I had it almost completely blocked off with stuffed clothes in the trash bags(what can I say I get ghetto when I improvise) But question is again why is that ? what could cause the loading issues

Oh yeah to describe better Port is firing through rear window of truck. then it goes 10 inches of no subs then.1st row 2nd row then 3rd row from driver to rear. And I am soo sorry about LONG post. just wanted to make sure I accurately explained it

Wish I had pics. It is a sealed chamber firing up towards the sky into the ported chamber which is firing forward into the cab. Like badmans(think that is his name) red truck. pioneer subs. one 1800 watt amp for 9 subs right now. 23 cubes ported 11.5 sealed. . So you are saying the subs should be evenly loaded in the sealed chamber so the front chamber is hurting? see I always heard air space is airspace but wondered with multiple subs if there are rules to amend to that theory

Well I thought about it. But even so shrinking it 2 cubes (15 percent) shouldn't make that MASSIVE of a difference. curious about that extra front area. And the port doesn't matter. I have tried MANY depths and sizes in there. not the problem
