^^^With a good start I don't smell any coils cause I'm turning down volume throughout the run for the 39.9 class. Wide open I get some smell but only after my 3rd or 4th run in a row.
Did bassboxing once and ran a 147.9 with windows open.

Current box is tuned to 47 but the last couple of shows i peakes at 45 so I believe I'l be tuning the next box to 45 or lower. LOL
Haven't tried moving the amps yet. had planned on moving the atomic to the top of box in trunk but when I put in a floor I lost 3/4 of an inch and no longer could shut the trunk.. Maybe I'll put the amps on side of box next season.

Awesome number man! It's really great to see a trunk car get that loud. You are louder than me now and I have a hatch Those Atomic amps must be what people say they are cause that is a serious number to put up. I would like to think I can do a 150 with my current box and subs. I've got only 1900 watts going to the subs, so I'd say when I upgrade the amp it will be possible. I can try and give you a few things that have helped in my car and they might in yours. If you haven't tried these out then give it a shot and they may just help. Try leaning the passenger seat all the way foward and tilting it foward as far as it can go, close all of the vents on the dash and set the heater to the defrost(but don't turn it on) position to eliminate outside airflow into the car, last I would try opening your glove box. Those are a few things that I've tried to get some and it has helped at total of .7db's when doing all of those things. Hope that helps you a bit, and I can't wait for you to get that 150! If you are ever planning on getting rid of that amp let me know I would be interested in it if it's a good price

looked like there is enough room on the back of the box for the atomic. and it would be better to keep it closer to the battery too.

You might want to put the heater on recirculate as well to close the outer airbox.

does this not somewhat make the box a bandpass? seeing as how the box sits back and side walls used to seal the box from the trunk opening?

it doesnt really have a loading wall adam which is what i think keeps it from being a bandpass.

ur not going to max the gain out are you? remember too the sides you put in are actually a extention of the the slot port so it will make ur tunning lower.
might text ya some pix of the halfwall i am doing in the neon this weekend. that is after i put a new windshield in. for the half wall i am using UMHW (white semitransparent plastic) 3/8 bolting it up and having the box come threw it behind the rear seat. will back light the plastic in time...

Unless the port wall counts. Theres only a 6 inch opening between the chamber and the 10 inch port thats 29.5in long. Original idea came from a slot port box. I just stretched the port and kept the common chamber the same cause thats what them babies liked!
