yes it is this will help when you start doing power test and seeing what your reactive load is so you will know where you was the less amount of power and have the better number

Damn man a 147 out of a trunk car with 2 10's is strong. I'm hoping to get to that number this weekend as well with 2 12's in a ZX3 with 2400 watts rms. I put up a 145.7 last weekend with my subs in the box that was in my trunk car. Is your box musical, or is it just a loud burp box? The one I have in my car right now is very musical from 30-50 hz, and is tuned to 36 hz. The new box I'm building is tuned to 38 hz and is intended for music too, but instead of a slot port I'm going with aeroports. My car peaks at 51 hz and my tuning is too low to have a super loud burp box, but I'll be happy with 147+ on music out of the new box. I can always add another amp to help get me closer to 150. How do you like the sound of the AQ subs? I was inquiring on a pair of them before I got my Sundown Nightshades. I talked to AQ through email and they told me that the hd3 woofers compared to the DD 3500's. Is that true?

HD3's I believe they are comparable to a 9500. I have my comp box tuned to 47hz. These subs have great musicality and will take gobs of power for daily beating. Like I mentioned b4 you may have to mod them a bit to withhold the pressure etc. but they can def. take 2-3Krms and my last recones had 10k put to them on a burp from 2 atomic 7K's.
I won't get rid of these for nothing! I'm looking for 2 more HD3 motors so I can run 4 off 2 AT 5k's next year.

no joke those are STRONG #'s from a trunk!
I think it was a weak dust cap. It tore around the beveled edge. Glue stayed put, just tore like a piece of paper. LOL

I'm just curious what type of competing do you do. Db drag, Mecca, Usaci, Nspl? Because I looked for show results on the db drag results page and didn't even see a show in Adams NY. That's why I was wondering what events you compete in.
