Biggest sad part Mr. Jackson stated, "Our new business model is working well. Margins continue to improve and we are managing expenses carefully. The economics of our new business model should continue to improve as we move into the final phases of outsourcing. We are still on track to completely outsource manufacturing by the end of 2008."

I can't wait to provide warranties ALL the time. Oh wait, rockford no longer rebuilds or replaces woofers. They said, give the customer a new one, and we'll issue the retailer a credit.

Is this caused by outsourcing all of you builds? Have they eliminated all of their manufacturing/re-manufacturing ability in the US?

I have no idea. I'm a retailer of R.F. products, and thats how they handle warranties now. We give the customer a new woofer, and rockford issues us a credit on our account.

we can't hardly get rid of our power series inventory. I sell a few every once in a while, and at a damn low price.

Bill's quote is true. As for our new in-field policy, we instituted this for our dealers beginning in 2007 for Punch series woofers only. One of the largest costs in warranty of a woofer is freight. Our new woofer team has done an exemplary job of delivering us a product that is very robust, so that it won't fail to begin with. Fact of the matter is, our defective rate on woofers (and amplifiers for that matter) is currently at one of the lowest points in our history. We are very proud to say this and when I'm on the road, dealers are quick to point this out to me.
We'll continue our design and engineering efforts in the USA long after our manufacturing here ceases. This is the magic.

At least they fixed the cones. Those used to crack easy. one of my installers just got back from TopGun. He said you can now slam your fist on the cones and they hold up...instead of cracking on a tap.
