I haven't been here in quite some time, been heavily into headphone audio the past 3-4 years.
So.... I just got a 2001 Lexus ES300 and have no idea where to begin with it. I'm primarily after SQ and imaging so keep that in mind although I don't mind sacrificing ~1/2 the trunk if I need to.
Anyone got pics of lexus installs so I can get some ideas?
How difficult are these things to work on overall? Any "wierd" things about the ES I should keep in mind?... Door locks that interface through the factory head-unit, amplifiers that are tied to the OBDII system...etc...
Whats new in the world of car audio? Are kick panel installs still the way to go? I have image dynamics compression drivers in my old accord.... are those things still somewhat popular?
thanks in advance, Garrett

Audio systems are no longer powered by recievers or anything to that effect, it's more of a wireless deal, where you just think what you wanna hear, and there it is. And now, instead of batteries and $hit like that, we use actual $hit, it's much more economical and 'green.' No pun intended, unless you ate some huge amount of baby food, which is green.
Gotta stay up with the latest trends and techniques. Hope I helped!

Can't go wrong with ID. Wish they would put out a 15" IDMAX. I love their components. Plan on putting a second and possibly a third set in my doors.
