So many people bash products that are made in China, well here's an Alpine CDM-7871 headunit that was made in CHINA back in 2001, still in perfect working condition.

Thus proves that only idiots [Embarrassed] care about where the product is made from [Wink] As long as it does its job who cares [Big Grin]

you have a $200 radio back in the day that uses a philips transport as most cd players have for how many years now?... How can it go bad? there isn't anything crazy in it for electronics... it is basically the same design today

I had a 2005 9847 alpine survive a fire! it just needed a new face plate.

my damn lil sister left the box on the stove. woosh there went my xmas present! but after a little playing at the school lab i got it working.

ya i was shocked about that.... BUT at least alpine has a good quality build shop....
i just wish i bought my alpine unit along time ago!
hell my old clarion with my 1200watt amplifier is just as loud as my current alpine unit with only 600watts on my sub.... the highs and mids get quite a bit louder and clearer!!!! and my subs output is just as loud if not alitle louder!

before i pulled my old clarion unit the 600watt amp was noticably quiter than the 1200watts... of course that is [Wink]
and the sub even has a beter punch to it!

made in china doesnt always mean crap anymore... LMFAO
hell i bought some speakers off ebay from china fo rmy ipod... sounds very nice and loud.... and spent half the money as my other crapy speakers i bought.....

only thing that sucks is the big picture...... loosing american jobs and money being exported [Frown]
hell i think every job is going across the seas anymore... just more and more lay offs on every tv channel cause some company wants to move to a cheaper country to make more money.....
