If a sub is designed for a 1.5 cubic ft vented enclosure, and i HAVE to build a 2 cubic ft enclosure, would it be bad for the sub? and how would it affect the port dimensions?
A quick answer would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Quick answer - Not really, depends how hard you are going to push it. Why don't you adjust the box dimensions or add extra bracing to compensate on volume?

Well the box is going directly against the back seat in my hatch.
The back seat makes roughly a 40 degree angle with the floor.
I need the box to be high enough to fit the sub, and long enough to allow for the mounting depth.
I plan on running it at 900 RMS, which it is rated at, or possibly 1000 RMS if i cant find an amp that gives 900 straight up. Street beater only, not SPL with this box.
I suppose i could brace it or fill in the box where the angle is, im making it on sketchup as we speak so ill put a screenshot of it on here for clarification shortly.
Thanks again, hope i made it clear enough for you guys.

Wow i was completly off base with my angle, its 65 degrees which gives me alot more room to work with the squar portion of the box while still allowing the triangular part for air space...

oh yeah- port dim. you would shorten the port to get the same tunning freq. with the same dia. of port. (if using same port dia. as 1.5 cu. ft box)
