Hey people, gimme some input on this.

The setup will be what I have in my sig, 4 TSS 12's, 2 PBX 3000D's, the 2 Optima g31's and whatever else.

The box idea looks like a backward wall going in the back of a 4 door Accord. I didn't want to wall it off completely, because I use my backseats a lot. I'm going from a single DD 9515F with a 3000D on it daily. The 4 subs will all be on the left side of the box, with the port on the right. The airflow will go into the cabin of the car on the right side of the box, where I have lessened the width by 5", so I can have some air flowin' in.

I've been working on it for a couple weeks, probably putting on the face tomorrow or so, but this is what I've got done so far, just pics from today. I haven't been taking pics of the build because, well, I didn't feel like it.

More pics to come tomorrow!

And the 2x3's holding the batteries are temporary, everything will be better lookin' when I'm finished. (Hopefully!)

i got an good feeling that car is going to be loud as $@#$@# on the outside of the car and pretty quiet on the inside. thats an huge box. althought i hope its way louder man! but i think the 1 15 u had would be louder on the inside. box is just taking up too much rear firing space. only way i see that working good is maybe if u lost alot of your rear deck or something. thats just my 2 cents i really hope it works out for u man! good luck!

Cool cool, I see what you are saying. I didn't have enough space in the back of the box to make it smaller so more air could move into the cabin, I wanted to keep the box as big as possible. On the passengers side, I left a 5" x 16" 'hole' for the air to get through. We'll see if that's enough.

As for projecting outside, I would love something like that. I've never been able to do anything like that before.

Like I said, we'll see how it turns out. Tomorrow I'll mount the baffle, and a set of 5/8" threaded rods. If I have time, I'll finish it and do the port. I'm gonna try to make it semi removable so I'll be able to tune the box by lengthening and shortening it as I want.

yea man lol i can see it now i know its gonna get hella attention. it gonna be like my buddys car he has an 90's model hatchback Ford Escort. he dont have the back seat. he got an 12 cube box 50sqin port tuned 38hz 2 15" Kicker l7's and bostwick 1000D on Each l7 and the big group 31 battery that u have. all that in that small Escourt Talking about LOUD!!!!!!! put it like this he knocked the Tail of his car 3 times already and every time an low note like 30hz hit he makes his gas tank flop open. looks like the car is an stripper shaking when its full tilt sort of like ur honda is going to be when ur done. man i just love his car theres nothing like seeing some flex! good thing is the car doesnt have that annoying rattle liek the old school car has but at same time it just look like its going to fall apart in ur face. its awsome i love it! kinda like my tahoe right now lol [Big Grin] but do us an favor keep pics rolling and DEF~ get an Video!!! i may be wrong on my 2 cents.

haha, hell yeah. With all the subs firing back, I'm guessing the trunk lid is going to be going crazy. I'm gonna try to tune a little low, about 30 to 35hz. When it hits, I wanna be able to feel it.

Oh, and for port I'm going to have about 150in^2 (hopefully). The box is roughly 8 cubes gross, PLUS the spare tire well whatever that got me. So I'm guessing around 10 cubes all together minus the port. I was originally going to do just 3 12's, but then I figured out I could use the spare well. . .

cool 10 cubes 30-35hz sounds Grate! and see u got way more power than my buddy actually i have more power than my buddy. trust me u gonna feel it waht i noticed about low bass is that it travel threw ton on stuff. when i had my 96 impala i had 5 12's in the trunk, and High bass sucked soooooooo bad it was pathetic. but the LOWW bASS!!! OMG did it come threw the car lol! i took same setup up and put it in the tahoe i have now and Volia the High bass CAme strong then. so from then on i knew it was a matter of getting all that sound into the cabin soort of like how everyone is doing now sealing off from the trunk. but yea man i dont know how u couldnt get that 1 15 u had loud outside the car. were u tuned high? ive never had a problem being stupid loud outside my vehicles. guess cause i never gave a crap about the meter and never tuned high. highest box tune ive had is 35hz lol.

It's not that it wouldn't get loud outside the car, just not as loud as I wanted. Inside was a whole different story.

With no tuning on the single 15 I was doing a 147. I'm gettin' curious where I'm going to be at with the 4 12's.

haha, so was it with the Tahoe you didn't have a problem getting it loud outside, or was it a trunk? I'm under the impression that it's more difficult to move the sound out a trunk rather than a SUV. Maybe I'm way off with this, someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

well i was loud outside of my impala and my tahoe but right now the tahoe is on an whole nother level then the impala was. but most my homies are stupid loud with cars, but then again all my homies are sealed off from the trunk. but honestly the impala was really loud only on the low notes, so outside the car u could feel it! but u got it right its really hard to get loud out the trunk. theres only 2 people who are stupid loud outside there car from the trunk down here. its an box chevy that is crazy loud outside, and my uncle old setup 2 Memphis Mojo 12's in about 5 cubes in an 2 dr luminim or how ever u spell that.

I hear that. My past boxes were tuned around 40hz, DD spec.
Either way, about this box, I'm looking forward to hearing it, but still trying not to cut any corners.
Fiberglassing in the baffle is going to suck tomorrow, because I need to glass under some rings that I cut out. You'll see it all tomorrow.

yea man ur doing an awsome job with that glassing man! but u were tuned to 40hz and ur going all the way in the 30's! MAN that alone is going to be an big diff with u. bet if u had that 1 15 tuned that low u would be like Damn! but 10 cubes 150sq of port sounds AWSOME! with an port that big its really going to get stupid loud around tunning freqs. your gonna see an biggg peak within the tuning. i noticed that tunnign from 30hz to maybe like 33-34hz the 33-34hz box tends to get WAy louder than just tuning to 30hz. 30hz box gave me flatest response without all the big peaks.

Ah excellent. I'm looking for an overall flat response, but I would like to peak around 35 to 40hz. That would be primooooo.

I was just doing some calculations, it'd be tough for me to get that low with 150" of port without bending it, which I do NOT want to do, so we'll see exactly where I end up.

The port overall is going to be a little tough, because I'm going to glass in 2 MDF strips at the top and bottom of the box, so I can easily screw in different port boards, to make shorter or longer.

Man this box looks like a backward wall. heh

yea it looks awsome man. me personally i love all the big peaks in the lower region just like u mentioned. when i do my next box im going tune to 33hz i love the response i got ploting it. im going 12+cubes 150sqin of port/CRX style box. im going 2 be pushing some serious air again. boxes tend to be tricky man. like now im stupid shocked i can do/did hair tricks with this small box i have my 15's in now. 6.6cubes total tuned 30hz. that box Sucks! but the higher bass like 40hz+ OMG its sick. its really hard to see when its full tilt. kinda feel like someone is squashing ur throat. so i cant wait to see what it does in an bigger box. my next box is designed to bring thats RUMBLE just like ur box is. 10cubes is really huge if u look at it and u wont have an problem hitting the low notes man.

Yeah man, like I've been sayin', I'm just gonna have it all together and we'll see how it turns out. I'm going to make the port as adjustable as possible so I can tweak here and there. Maybe, just MAYBE I'll be able to start the port tomorrow. That would be a blessing, because that's pretty much the end.
