I have 2 12" Elemental Designs K-Series subs in a 2cubicft sealed box and a JBL 600.1 mono amp. I also have all the necessary wiring. Anyways, I had a cheap Pioneer unit installed by Circuit City I believe, in place of my Bose stock unit in my 1999 Nissan Maxima GLE...which required an adapter to work for the system. I don't have the money to have this sub/amp combo installed at a store and want to attempt it with a friend. I have 0 experience installing any car audio...I have had subwoofers before in a different car. What will I need to get the subs installed besides the wiring I already have? I also want to make sure the other Bose speakers only play medium/high...don't know if I need any blockers or anything.
Sorry for the confusingly long post, but any help would be greatly appreciated. If I need to clarify anything, let me know. Thanks.

all you really need is the rca, power cable and remote wire to get the subs working. To change the frequencies our speakers play you might be able to change it within your deck, play around with it or check the manual to see if you can.

Best thing to do is get a wiring kit. 8 or 4 awg depending on the size of the amp. The kit should have everything you need except speaker wire(some kits have them and some don't). Since you have an aftermarket deck shouldn't be to big of a deal to intergrate with the bose system. As for the crossing over of the highs depends if the deck has built in crossovers. I would say your factory highs would probably be ok as long as you don't boost the bass and treble wide open. Leave those setting at 0 or flat. The best thing to do is debose the system which involves putting in new speakers and bypassing the bose amps. This would sound tons better than it does right now. Good luck with the install.

By the way, I don't know i this is obvious or not, but the setting you're looking for on the deck is called a "high pass filter" or crossover. Sometimes abbreviated as "HPF."
Maybe that's a duh, but I thought I'd pitch that in.
