I would put a M-class sub against a CVR, would be a pretty close race.

The bolt on magnet is the best thing they ever did, now instead of costing $25 to ship a sub it only costs $10

They dont look pretty and special from the outside, its whats inside that matters

Yea, I'd say thats a much better comparison.

A comparison I have done [Cool]

The M class isn't quite as loud, nor does it handle quite as much power... but it sounds *way* better than the CVR. The M class actually sounds "good"... great extension while being punchy, the CVR can't compare.

Durability, both ran within their limits, they are fine... both don't like going outside their limits [Smile]

I'd say the best part is the price you can get the M class woofers for @ the dealer with a real warranty.

The M3, on the other hand, is a superior woofer in every aspect lol.

I have 2 cvr 12's and I have yet to hear something louder for the money. Im at about a 140 now but with a better amp I think they could get a bit louder. What can the cvr's handle daily before they'll smoke?

Quality wise, the Kicker does not compare! But if they are louder and you like them get them! But all in all Kicker is not a good quality product anymore!

Kicker is not a good quality product anymore?!?! On what basis can you make that statement? Could it be the fact that their subs take a beating from power above what they are rated? Or is it that their amps will do every bit of their rated power and then some with no problem? Yeah I guess your right...just not a quality product.

I'm not talking about the amps, lets face it there subs get loud and handle decent power but sound like crap! For true music fans, kicker is not the choice, like I said, I dont really care, Im just sharing my opinion! Their amps are great though!
