SO i bought a 1100d (directed amp) from a guy and it worked fine,

couple days ago it just kinda doenst want to make the sub work =(

the sub will cut in and out and back in and out

ive hooked the sub to another amp and it works fine,ivr checked for wiring on the 1100 and its all good.

any one have this problem or know of a place that fixes these amps OR know of a good 700-800watt class d amp??

check the impedence on the coils with a dmm...

the sub reads 2.1 ohms final impenace so i know its not the sub =(___

this may sound stupid, but put a jumper between the 12 volt main power into the amp to the remote power on lead for your test. Also put a DMM on the line to see whats actually happening, and if there is any transient spikes / losses during your testing. What im interested in seeing is that you have a good remote power voltage to the amp.

hum maybe,it only cuts off now at volumes about 13(the knob goes to 60 so 13 isnt loud) if i leave it below 12 it will play till i tuen off the car ,wierd

When I had a remote wire problem, at higher volumes my amp would cut out.
It turns out my remote wire was loose behind the hu

well i have 2 amps running off the same remote wire.....the other amp works fine at all times and at all volumes.

just the DEI amp cuts out at 1/4 volume \

i swithced rcas and it does the same. i even switched remote wires on the amps still nothing

then i hooked the sub to the amp for the mids and the sub worked

any other thing that could help???

Does it go into protection? does the power light flicker at all at higher volumes?

Are you sure you don't have a blown coil or loose tinsel lead? [Cool]

yup,i hooked up a new amp today and it works fine

it DOES NOT go into protection,but i noticed if i tap it you can hear it turning off and on,wierd

anyone know what could be wrong with the DEI amp>??

My Viper amp's front and rear left channel keeps going out, the preamp section have weak solder spots that gave a lot of distorion.
