Capacitors can be used to filter out noise on rcas connected in powerline or signal. I know some of the sq guys have talked about it. I think george is kinda wrong there. How many ways can you wire a cap..... you could put it straight in the positive wire running to the amp and it would be like a resistor. You could just hook the positive and negative to the battery or to the amp. MMats factory mod amps have a real small cap hanging out the amps case??? Cant say either way Caps cost money and no one uses them so I dont have one. Could it make you louder or quieter and could it depend if you are running 60kw or 500 watts who knows?

IMO skip the caps and go the the source, HO alternators and bigger batteries and wiring.

I do however like to know what voltage I am running at.

I wonder if a cap would actually help if it were just hooked up to the batter right up front by the battery. It does hold some juice...hmmm...the only problem I see is that 1 farad isn't very much...

Thing is you aren't fixing the problem, which is not enough current to meet the needs, a cap won't do anything for that. Spend the $$ on an Alt.
