It's a '05 Tahoe with yellow top.

JL doesn't matter what the ohm load is, right?

Kicker 2ohm.

correct jl can do its power all the way up to 4 ohms. so u got dual 2 ohm subs. id reccomend go with the jl then if u run it .5 ohms i dont think the kicker will be safe, not saying it wont run @ .5ohms but u defenitly would have to have more power. either way u go i say do the Big 3 upgrade and add atleast 1 more Yellow top to the back of the truck. with either these amps ur going to get Light dimming off an stock alternator. i got an 96 tahoe it be best if u do ur upgrades now instead of like me i had to learn the hard way lol.

The JL setup would have to be quite a bit louder in order to justify the added expense. I would take the kicker stuff because it will be just as loud, and most likely cheaper.

My thoughts as well. I am not about spending more money than I have to just to get something that says JL Audio on it.

If you get the SX1250, you'll want to run it at 1 ohm, it will do roughly 1300-1500 watts into a 1 ohm load, and with all the DSP, there is no need for any external EQ, as it can do everything onboard.

I would easily take a 1250.1 over a 1000/1 every day of the week unless you get offered a deal you couldn't refuse on the JL.

And like mentioned above, the Kicker amp comes alive at 1 ohm.
